From March 3 to 4, 2025, we met in Salzburg at the invitation of Innovation Salzburg to take a look at the activities to date together with the Bauhalps project consortium and to develop initial ideas for the Bauhalps model.
We presented initial conceptual approaches that show how the principles of the New European Bauhaus - beauty, circular economy and community - can be incorporated into the model with specific sustainability indicators. Bayern Innovativ GmbH and the Ca' Foscari University Foundation Venice in particular are driving forward the development of the model and the supplementary toolkit.
A highlight of the meeting was the co-creation session organized by us, in which key aspects of the concept were discussed in depth. The exchange took place in the inspiring ambience of the Salzburg Open Air Museum - a place with deep roots in traditional architecture and cultural heritage.
During the two days, we were not only able to delve deeper into the current project phase, but also discuss the next steps for practical testing of the model and tools on real buildings. The intensive exchange showed once again how valuable international cooperation is for our common goal.
