Roadmaps as signposts

Staying on the right track in an increasingly fast-paced and complex world

Do you want to know how you can keep an eye on your business goals and have a roadmap for implementation? Then roadmapping is exactly what you need! With a roadmap, you have a tool at hand that takes you precisely to your goal, identifies hurdles and challenges and enables clear communication with a wide range of stakeholders. Everything you need to underpin your goals with a clear strategy and maintain and expand your competitiveness.

Just like in everyday life: Where am I, where do I want to go and how do I get there?

In order to be able to carry out this planning, we have established the Digital Innovation Platform (DIP), a solution with which we support companies. This makes it possible to formulate strategic goals and provide them with a roadmap to achieve them. This allows you to keep track of all important topics and the necessary steps.

At Bayern Innovativ, we again combine our methods and expertise with our DIP software in order to do the best for you and the ecosystem. The platform not only provides roadmaps, but also radars. Curious to find out how you can benefit from this expertise? Then get to know our Technology and Innovation Management (TIM) team and let us advise you in detail. Together we will then develop a roadmap for your innovative future.

Your roadmap could look like this:

What is behind a roadmap?

A roadmap can be used to show and visualize temporal and logical links between different influencing factors, such as technologies, markets, products or resources, over a longer period of time. This helps to communicate complex interrelationships more easily and transparently and to create clarity for the next steps. To this end, internal and external perspectives should be brought together, interacting approaches for new impulses introduced and relevant stakeholders integrated. This creates a holistic picture and helps to identify important connections and present obstacles or drivers.

A roadmap can therefore be used for many different objectives and by a wide range of organizations, from companies and ministries to clusters and networks. The decisive factor is the objective for which the roadmapping method is used: strategic roadmap, technology roadmap or innovation roadmap, to name just three examples.

Ultimately, a roadmap shows dependency paths between various levels and provides information about the current status as well as the necessary future development steps to achieve the desired goal.
