Summary

Teaching and research at the Technical University of Aschaffenburg

Profile

The range of courses offered by the Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences includes business and technical degree programs that are closely tailored to the needs of companies in the Rhine-Main and Lower Main regions. In the seven bachelor's degree programs offered by the Faculty of Engineering, students can also choose from a variety of majors to suit their individual interests. A major concern of the Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences is to combine theory with practical experience. For this reason, the Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences offers "studies with in-depth practical experience". Here, students commit themselves to a partner company for the duration of their studies and work there for up to 54 weeks.

Aschaffenburg University's facilities also include numerous laboratories where students can deepen their practical knowledge in the context of R & D projects. For example, in the ETARA project, an autonomously driving exploration robot is being developed to autonomously explore a previously largely unknown terrain in disaster scenarios and map detected contamination.
