Profile

NextHeat is a spin-off of the Nuremberg Institute of Technology and is funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection as part of the EXIST research transfer programme.

With 5 years of experience in hydrogen combustion, we have specialized in hydrogen technology and thermal processes. We are currently working on using our H2 burners in ceramic and glass production, as well as in aluminum furnaces. Together with new industrial partners, we want to find even more possible applications and enable everyone to switch to green hydrogen and climate-neutral heat.

We are also working in the field of H2 production. NextHeat is currently building a test plant that will supply our converted absorption heat pump with hydrogen. In addition, a first electrolyser with an output of 150 kW is due to go into operation at an industrial customer in early 2025. This electrolyser is being developed specifically for our burner modules and is characterized by low investment costs and high efficiency.

NextHeat/Azure Energy GmbH plans to build a 150 kW electrolyser and put it into operation in an industrial environment. We are looking for companies that require high-temperature heat, e.g. from the ceramics/glass, foundry and steel processing sectors.
