Information

The research focus of the Chair of Environmental Production Engineering is the industrialization of additive manufacturing systems for metal and plastics. Due to the direct cooperation with numerous other chairs at the University of Bayreuth in the fields of material development metals/plastics/ceramics/biomaterials, process optimization, digitalization as well as strategic management and law, an interdisciplinary and holistic know-how and plant equipment can be accessed at the University of Bayreuth.

Summary

Sustainable and efficient use of additive manufacturing in medium-sized businesses

Profile

The Chair of Environmental Production Engineering at the University of Bayreuth has been researching the application and implementation possibilities of additive manufacturing for many years. This knowledge is to be transferred specifically to small and medium-sized enterprises in particular as part of the Research and Application Center, which is operated with the Fraunhofer IPA. The companies should thus be enabled to implement additive manufacturing sustainably and efficiently in the company.
