Profile

The Competence Network Mechatronics, founded in 1999, is a network with more than 40 companies, universities and public institutions from the region of Eastern Bavaria with the aim to intensify the partnership cooperation, to achieve synergy effects, in the areas of development, qualification, marketing and service. The close shoulder with research institutions, especially with the TC Cham to ensure continuous innovation is another field of activity of the competence network.

Products

  • Organization and implementation of network meetings and workshops
  • Planning of regional and international expert forums
  • Support in the application of public funding programs (R & amp;E & investment)
  • Coordination of cooperation with research institutions (especially with the Technology Campus Cham)
  • Moderation and coordination between start-ups and medium-sized companies in the context of the initiative Gründerland Bayern
  • Support of members in the following subject areas: Technology, innovation, human resources and promotion
  • Advertising of members in regional newspapers, trade journals and other media for personnel acquisition as well as participation in personnel fairs
  • Coordination and organization of further training for the employees of member companies
  • Support of image work at schools and universities

Technology

  • Investments in two application centers at the Technology Campus Cham with a focus on: 1. "Digital Production" and 2. "additive manufacturing"

Following equipment and machinery were purchased (selection):

  • Additive manufacturing processes: Selective laser sintering, stereolithography, fused deposition modeling or even multi-jet fusion, etc.
  • Digital production: collaborative robotics, driverless transportation systems, virtual reality and augmented reality, reverse engineering, etc.
  • Leasing of office and commercial space to digital start-up companies in the local innovation and incubation centers.
