Information
3D Printing / Additive Manufacturing - Binder Jetting Process for Sand as well as Metal. The patented Binder Jetting process from ExOne makes it possible to print casting molds and cores from sand for the foundry market in sand 3D printing. Even very complex component geometries can be realized in a short time, which cannot be produced in the traditional process.
In metal or ceramic 3D printing, molded parts can also be printed in powder form using a wide variety of materials, which would not be possible in traditional manufacturing. The entire process chain includes the printing of the green part, the de-powdering and the debinding and sintering process. In addition to the typical alloys used in additive manufacturing (316L / 17-4PH, etc..), materials can also be used that cannot be printed in the laser-sintering process, such as carbide or ceramics.
