Georg Carle is professor at Technical University of Munich since 2008, holding the Chair of Network Architectures and Services at the Department of Computer Engineering. His research and teaching focusses on Networked Systems and their Security, and Research Infrastructures for Computing and Communication. He studied electrical engineering at the University of Stuttgart, with studies abroad at Brunel University, London, and ENST Paris (now Telecom ParisTech). He obtained a doctoral degree in Computer Science at University of Karlsruhe (now KIT), was scientist at Institut Eurécom, Sophia Antipolis, France, and at Fraunhofer FOKUS, Berlin, and subsequently professor at University of Tübingen.
