Clemens Baumgärtner is the head of department of labor and economic since March 1, 2019.

Baumgärtner is born in Munich in 1976, he‘s married and has two children. After studying law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich as well as European and international business law (LL.M. EUR.), he most recently worked as a lawyer in a Munich commercial law firm. Since 1996 he has been a member of the district committee 18 Untergiesing-Harlaching for the CSU, from 2012-2020 the head oft he committee.
