Dr. Christian Münzenmayer received the M.Sc. degree in computational engineering from the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Koblenz-Landau and an MBA in General Management from FOM University of Applied Sciences.

Since 2000, he is with the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS, Erlangen where he started as a research associate. Since 2008 he headed the Medical Image Processing group and coordinated all activities in the business field Digital Pathology and Computational Microscopy.
