Tilo Heckmann graduated in 1993 as Diplom-Ingenieur Elektrotechnik from the University of Karlsruhe, specializing in image and audio transmission technology.

In 1997, he joined the company that would later become Telefónica Germany. Over the years, he has held various expert and management positions in the field of network technology, driving the introduction of cutting-edge infrastructure, products, and services into the production network.

For more than ten years, he has worked as a Technology Strategist, responsible for scouting, evaluating, and incubating new technologies ahead of Telefónica’s daily operations, with a long track record of successful projects.

Currently, he is paving the way for the adoption of 6G, NTN, and Edge Cloud technologies and services within Telefónica’s German operations.
