Roland Ottmann

- Dr. Roland Ottmann (moderator and course leader) studied mechanical engineering, business administration and management and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in the United Kingdom and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in France.
- He has been working as a project and program manager, consultant and trainer for project management for more than 30 years. He holds certificates as International Project Manager and Trainer for Project Managers.
- For four years, he was a board member of the Project Management Association of the Federal Association of German Management Consultants (BDU), for ten years a board member and chairman of the German Association for Project Management (GPM) and for twelve years he held various leadership positions at the International Project Management Association (IPMA), including as a member of the Council of Delegates and as a member of the board. He is the initiator of the German and International Project Excellence Award and was program manager for the Project Excellence assessment model. He was a member of the Project Excellence Award jury (national and international) for ten years.
- Today, he is Chairman of the Advisory Board and Deputy Chairman of the Board of the IAPM International Association of Project Managers.
- Ottmann has personally trained more than ten thousand project managers for 150 companies worldwide. He has been managing partner of Ottmann & Partner GmbH for more than 25 years. He is also the author of various specialist books, including the standard work "ProjektManager" and the basic book "Der nackte ProjektManager", which was awarded "Book of the Year" by the IAPM.
