Age: 47, married, 2 children. As an environmental engineer, I try to find optimal solutions for energy efficiency and the least impact on the planet. The more I learn about the technical solutions themselves, the more I realize that non-technical facts (governance, readiness) also need to fit to enable a renewable future for our children. I would consider "the energy transition" as an interdisciplinary project of humanity, where we need to communicate a lot. I am currently working on the OMEI (Open Mobility Electric Infrastructure) project, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport - Germany. This project is about charging infrastructure, the increased use of renewable energies as well as digitalization and data acquisition. Since my studies in environmental engineering, I have been working in the field of renewable energies, with positions in industry and research ranging from biogas plants and PV systems to storage solutions with batteries and hydrogen.
