Prof. Dr.-Ing. Mirko Mählisch is Professor of Machine Perception in Autonomous Driving at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich.
After studying computer science at Chemnitz University of Technology, he completed his doctorate in electrical engineering and computer science at the University of Ulm. His professional career has taken him from research and development positions at Daimler, Audi and CARIAD to head of global software development for automated driving at Jaguar Land Rover. His focus is on the development of safe AI systems for vehicle environment recognition and the reduction of system complexity in autonomous driving. He was awarded the University DAS Science Prize for his dissertation.
