Markus Blume has been Bavarian Minister of State for Science and the Arts since February 2022. Prior to that, he was Secretary General of the CSU from 2018 to 2022. Blume has been a member of the Bavarian State Parliament since 2008. As a directly elected member of the state parliament, he represents the Munich Ramersdorf constituency. The father of three lives in Munich. Before his career in politics, Blume was the founder and CEO of a medium-sized company.
