After studying physics at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and completing her doctorate in biophysics at the Amolf Research Institute in Amsterdam, Mareike Berger has been working at acatech, the Academy of Science and Engineering, since 2023. As a scientific advisor, she advises policymakers and society on technology issues, particularly in the areas of digital transformation, the circular economy and Industry 4.0. She coordinated the acatech study "Digital Enablers of the Circular Economy" and focused intensively on the use of digital technologies in the textile sector to establish the circular economy.
