BayFOR's EU Funding Center networks Bavarian stakeholders from science and industry at a European level and supports them in acquiring EU funding, for example in Horizon Europe, the European framework programme for research and innovation, as well as other programs such as the European Defence Fund (EDF). To this end, scientific advisors provide subject-specific information, strategic advice and active support in initiating projects, setting up international research consortia and submitting applications. In the event of a successful evaluation, BayFOR supports active project implementation and, if necessary, takes on research-related project management and/or public relations work. Finally, the EU Liaison Office in Brussels represents the interests of Bavarian universities at European level. It strengthens their visibility and acts as their contact mediator with the European institutions.
