Prof. Katrin Wudy is an expert in the field of laser-based additive manufacturing, particularly with plastics and metals. Ms. Wudy completed her doctorate in 2017 at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) in the field of powder- and beam-based additive manufacturing and has held the professorship for Laser-based Additive Manufacturing at the Technical University of Munich since 2019. In her position as professor, she drives the further development of this field through her innovative research, focusing in particular on new process strategies and process monitoring that significantly improve efficiency and quality in additive manufacturing. Ms. Wudy heads the TUM Oerlikon Advanced Manufacturing Institute and the Mission Network Additive Manufacturing.
