Johannes Oberreuter has studied physics, mathematics, and philosophy at the universities of Munich and Heidelberg, obtained a Master’s degree in mathematics from the University of Cambridge, and earned a PhD in cosmology at the University of Amsterdam. As a research associate at the University of Göttingen and the Technical University of Munich, he worked on quantum simulations. Since 2018, he has been working at the IT consulting company Reply as a data scientist, machine learning engineer, and quantum computing expert. Reply is a member of the Munich Quantum Valley, where they collaborate with partners on benchmarking quantum algorithms. Since 2019, Johannes Oberreuter has led Reply’s global innovation group “Future of Compute.”
