Jochen Bockfeld has almost 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He is Director of Technology Common Services and a member of the Senior Leadership Team at O2 Telefónica in Germany. He is responsible for the development, integration and implementation of modern technology solutions (networks and IT) shared by all customer segments of O2 Telefonica in Germany. These include the modern 5G core network and BSS solutions, which are increasingly being implemented via public cloud technologies.

Together with his colleagues in the Telefónica Germany Technology Team, Jochen is currently driving the BSS transformation RAITT and leading the 5G program. As part of the 5G program, O2 Telefónica was the first operator in Germany to demonstrate Voice over New Radio calls over its 5G network from Munich to Berlin last year. He is also driving the transformation of core network workloads to the public cloud. He and his team implemented O2 Telefónica's first online charging solution via the public cloud at the beginning of the year.

Jochen Bockfeld has worked in various roles on several major transformation programs for the core network.
