Prof. Dr. agr. habil. Heinz Bernhardt is Professor of Agricultural System Engineering at the Technical University of Munich.

Previously, he was Assistant Professor at Justus Liebig University Giessen. He gained international experience through visiting professorships, including at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology and Hokkaido University.

He completed his doctorate at the Institute for Agricultural Engineering at the Justus-Liebig University Giessen with the topic "Agricultural logistics in Germany" and habilitated with the thesis "Process engineering consequences for managing regulatory requirements and trade standards in cereal production, including the mycotoxin issue".
