Dr. Harald Liessmann is a Digital Enterprise Architect in Cisco's EMEA Partner CTO organization, working with partners and customers on innovative IT infrastructure and managed services business solutions. He has more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry, research, business and IT consulting as a software developer, project manager, researcher, consultant and enterprise architect for global organizations.

Before joining Cisco in 2006, Harald supported enterprises and service providers in Europe in the planning and implementation of service-oriented architectures and business process management solutions. At Cisco, Harald worked with various customers in Europe as well as in emerging markets (Latin America, Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe and Russia) to plan and develop solutions that leverage the network for tangible business results in industries such as manufacturing, mining, financial services and retail. Most recently, he has focused on IoT-related solutions that leverage edge infrastructure for advanced distributed applications, including Private 5G as an innovative access technology to enterprise networks.

Harald holds a degree (Dipl.-Inf. Univ.) in Computer Science from the School of Engineering as well as a PhD (Dr. rer. pol.) in Information Systems, Operations Research and Economics from the Faculty of Business and Society at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
