Prof. Dr. Florian Wahl is HTA Professor for sensor-based AI systems in care at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology (THD). After completing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, he conducted research at the Mercedes-Benz Research Center in Palo Alto. This was followed by a Master's degree in Embedded Systems at Eindhoven University of Technology and a PhD at the University of Passau, which he completed with distinction in 2019. Since 2018, he has been conducting research at the Technology Campus Grafenau of the THD, where he heads the research group "Artificial Intelligence for Context and Activity Recognition" (AI4CARE).
