Prof. Dr.-Ing. Armin Dekorsy is Managing Director of the Gauss-Olbers Space Technology Transfer Center and Head of the Department of Communications Engineering, both at the University of Bremen. He is characterized by eleven years of industrial experience in leading positions at Nokia Bell Labs and Qualcomm, by the implementation of more than 40 (inter)national research projects and by his scientific expertise, which is reflected in more than 250 publications and more than 19 patents. His research areas include signal processing methods and communication technologies for 5G/6G, industrial radio and satellite communications, the results of which he contributes to the pre-development of the industry through political and strategic activities. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE Communications and Signal Processing Society and a member of the VDE/ITG Technical Committee "Information and Systems Theory". He is also co-author of the textbook "Nachrichtenübertragung, Release 6, Springer Vieweg", a bestseller in the German-speaking world on communication technologies.
