Expertise and references of the competence center

Bavaria gave electromobility a high priority early on. Today, the Free State is one of the pioneers and drivers of electromobility. The political positioning also requires operational implementation in order to support market players and local authorities, raise public awareness, evaluate the ramp-up of electromobility in Bavaria and further promote electromobility with specific funding programs. The Bavarian Electric Mobility Competence Center was initiated for this purpose.

From citizens' forums to guided tours for school classes through the traveling exhibition, at companies and Chamber of Industry and Commerce events, technical federal-state exchanges or at congresses: Our team is regularly requested for external lectures and specialist contributions and shares its expertise via various channels. Guest articles in publishing supplements

The Competence Center was asked to write an article for the February 2026 issue of the magazine DER BAYERISCHE BÜRGERMEISTER, which focuses on mobility. The guest article by Dr. Guido Weißmann entitled "Electromobility: From environmental protection to economic necessity" highlights the extent to which the success of electromobility depends on the expansion of publicly accessible charging infrastructure and the role municipalities play in this.

The article "Municipalities as pacemakers in the expansion of charging infrastructure" was written for the "Bayerischer Gemeindetag" together with NOW GmbH. Among other things, it deals with the distribution of public road space.

As part of the "Energy Compass" publishing supplement, a cooperation between the local newspapers Donau-Zeitung and Wertinger Zeitung, the Competence Center regularly contributes guest articles on topics relating to the regional energy transition and climate protection.
