UI/UX: Usability and user experience at Bayern Innovativ
Why is a user-friendly and user-friendly design a decisive competitive factor?
Five minutes until the subway leaves
Now I just need to buy my ticket quickly. But what does "just" mean: where can I find the right fare level, what does "valid only in the core zone" mean? In the end, you just make it to the train in time. Everyone has experienced a situation like this. But what does this have to do with UI/UX? Quite simply: ticket machines, website forms and control elements are all applications for usability and user experience. Good usability and user experience ensure that websites, user interfaces and operating elements for machines and systems are understandable, clear and easy to use for the user. If they are not, it is usually just annoying, like a missed subway train. However, if a production line comes to a standstill because of this, poor UX design can be really expensive. Good UI/UX is neither complicated nor costly - on the contrary.
UI/UX consulting: learning from experts and users
A good, user-friendly design is characterized by much more than just an appealing look - usability and user experience are much more about understanding the needs of your target group(s) and optimizing the interaction with the user to enable a positive user experience. Good UX design is a key factor in attracting, retaining and expanding customers, as these three examples show:
- Anyone who can find the information or products they need quickly and easily will be happy to visit a web store again.
- If the user quickly understands a software thanks to a clear interface and can operate it competently and safely, they will be happy to use it.
- And if a machine helps the operator to complete their tasks efficiently and without errors, productivity and efficiency will increase.
Usability and user experience are therefore decisive competitive factors and an effective instrument for asserting oneself in the market environment. This is why Bayern Innovativ supports Bavarian SMEs and start-ups in improving their usability and user experience.
