Digitization of care transfer reports - DigiPÜB project

The Augsburg University of Applied Sciences (THA) is working together with Augsburg University Hospital (UKA) on the digitization of care transfer reports (PÜBs). The focus here is on secure transfer, standardization of the format, semantic interoperability and standardized presentation. Secure data transfer is to be realized with the help of the telematics infrastructure. The PIO transfer form defined by mio42 GmbH on a legal mandate was deemed suitable as the standard format. However, there are a number of hurdles that need to be overcome in the dissemination of the new standard. The THA has therefore realized a prototype implementation of a PIO transfer sheet editor and made it available as an open source solution. The software enables the creation, import, editing and export of PIO-ÜB files in machine-readable XML FHIR format. The project is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Health, Care and Prevention as part of CARE REGIO.
