Information
Rittal has introduced an energy efficiency label in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14021 for labeling its enclosure cooling units. In doing so, the company is relying on nanotechnology. Dirty condenser fins on cooling units can reduce the cooling capacity of a system by up to 50 percent. Therefore, Rittal equips heat exchanger fins with a dirt-repellent nano-coating.
As a result, an air-conditioning unit from the Rittal TopTherm-Plus range saves a significant amount of energy compared to conventional cooling units. In addition, Rittal produces cooling units that use CO2 as a coolant and is involved in the field of fuel cell technology. At CeBIT 2008, Rittal demonstrated how an energy-efficient data center works with a green data center in live operation.
