Information

The Rennsteig in Thuringia is one of the most beautiful low mountain range hiking trails in the green heart of Germany. However, the name is not only associated with recreation and sporting activity, but also stands for a region that can look back on a centuries-old tradition in the manufacture of hand tools.

As early as 1834, hand tools were produced in the area around Schmalkalden. Building on this experience, we continue to manufacture high-quality hand tools to this day. The RENNSTEIG WERKZEUGE GmbH is an independent subsidiary of the company Knipex-Werk C. Gustav Putsch in Wuppertal and has its own research and development department, its own design department, a tool shop and two manufacturing plants.  Through the sales department, the Germany-wide sales and exports to more than 30 countries worldwide are handled. Certification: RENNSTEIG WERKZEUGE GmbH is ISO 9000 ff / QS 9000 ff certified.
