The Project Management Agency Bavaria has been entrusted by the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Technology with the implementation of various funding programs and acts as the lead agency and project management agency for these funding programs.

The Project Management Agency Bavaria sees its task primarily in increasing the innovative performance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Directly associated with this is the creation of modern and secure jobs to provide further economic development opportunities, growth opportunities and future prospects for the region.

The Project Management Agency Bavaria is a partner of the Bavarian Research and Innovation Agency, which primarily also provides integrated funding advice and a comprehensive range of services for further EU advice and EU applications in Bavaria. The Bavarian Research and Innovation Agency comprises Bayern Innovativ GmbH, BayFOR GmbH, the Bavarian Research Foundation, the Bavarian Patent Alliance and the Project Management Agency Bavaria.
