The e-disinfector disinfection system belongs to the electrolytic disinfection processes. The e-disinfectors are equipped with patented eco-des-electrodes to which a direct current in the low-voltage range is applied. The eco-des process (electro-chemical oxidation and disinfection) electrolytically forms disinfectants from the water constituents themselves. The higher the applied current, the stronger the disinfecting effect. Thus, the disinfection effect can be controlled by changing the current intensity. The treated water is polarized by the electrolysis, which results in a sustained depot effect. After some time, the polarization is neutralized again, whereby the water  regains its original and natural  state. Water disinfection with an e-disinfector is possible with low energy input. The intensity and duration of the disinfection effect is easily controllable and can thus be adapted to the respective operating conditions. When using an e-disinfector, a very good and fast disinfection effect can be observed. In contrast to physical disinfection processes such as UV irradiation or microfiltration, the e-disinfector also has a lasting disinfecting effect in the treated water. Since the disinfectants acting in the e-disinfector are formed in situ, there is no chemical dosing into the water. This avoids the storage and transportation of chemicals. Due to its flexible controllability, the e-disinfector is suitable for the disinfection of various waters such as warm tap water against legionella, swimming pool water, industrial process water, etc. The design of the e-disinfector is robust and compact. This allows installation in the smallest possible space. The cleaning of the e-disinfectoren takes place automatically.
