Information

Contaminated site management: The purchase and sale of commercially or industrially used land and buildings involves an ecological risk due to possible contamination. Investigations prior to a change of ownership provide both the buyer and the seller with sufficient certainty. We offer historical research, exploration and sampling, remediation planning and tendering, remediation monitoring, project management. Armament contaminated sites: they are a special field of contaminated sites. In general, legacy military sites include former sites of production, laboratory, storage and destruction of ordnance. Closely related to this are the military contaminated sites, e.g. military training grounds, barracks, airfields, etc. The treatment of this topic requires special knowledge of armament and military history, but also of the chemistry of explosives and warfare agents. Building Deconstruction: Not only industrially used buildings can contain pollutants, but also residential and office buildings have proven to be problematic due to the use of building materials containing pollutants. If these materials are mixed with uncontaminated construction debris during deconstruction, unnecessarily high disposal costs are incurred. Land recycling: Due to the enormous consumption of land, one focus of urban planning today is on the development of former industrial or commercial sites (brownfields). We offer: Site appraisals on the contaminated site situation, subsoil conditions, general business conditions, marketing and development opportunities, determination of market or mortgage lending value, Internet presentation. Hydrogeology: clean groundwater is indispensable for the supply of humans with the most important foodstuff, drinking water. Drinking water is only seemingly abundant. Increasing pollutant loads are affecting quality and available quantities. Geographic Information Systems (GIS): With the help of a GIS, different data can be linked and evaluated according to different questions. The linkage of visual representation possibilities (maps, plans) and data base contents (measured variables, characteristics etc.) make a noticeable quality gain possible with the evaluation and a fast input of current data.
