<IWO is an institution of the German mineral oil industry and was founded in 1984 under the name Institut für wirtschaftliche Oelheizung e.V. in Hamburg. Since spring 2011, IWO has stood for Institut für Wärme und Oeltechnik. Its members are companies in the mineral oil industry, the mineral oil and wholesale trade, and the German Association of Medium-Sized Mineral Oil Companies (Bundesverband mittelstölunternehmen e.V.). (UNITI). Well-known manufacturers of heating equipment and components, as well as other institutions and associations, support IWO's work as sponsoring members.
Profile
The dissemination of efficient and low-emission heating technology in the interest of climate protection and resource conservation – with this goal, the Institut für Wärme und Oeltechnik e.V..
