The institute focuses on the role of agricultural and forestry crops in the pollution of ecosystems. The central goal is to investigate the influence of air pollutants, harmful organisms and UV-B radiation on plants, to clarify mechanisms of action in resistance as well as metabolization and storage of environmental chemicals in plants.
