E Technologies and concepts for shaping the energy and raw material turnaround

The Sulzbach-Rosenberg branch of Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental, Safety and Energy Technology develops business-oriented solutions in energy and recycling technology and waste management. With a focus on process engineering and plant construction, it accompanies clients from the initial idea through pilot plants and demonstrators through to market launch.

EN Technologies and concepts to shape the energy and raw materials transition R&D activities focus on the conversion of biogenic residues into valuable, storable products (e.g. synthetic fuels, biochar and gas), on the recycling of mixed plastic waste and composite materials (e.g. electronic scrap or CFRP), and on waste management concepts for industry, municipalities and federal states. Our Industry Lab in the Technical Centre in Sulzbach-Rosenberg offers companies a well equipped and safe environment for development, testing and application of new technology.
