With around 500 small and medium-sized automotive suppliers (SMEs) as well as large suppliers and mechanical engineering companies, the automotive industry plays a key role in employment, growth and innovation in the Nuremberg metropolitan region. The industry is facing major challenges as a result of the mobility transition towards alternative drive systems.

The transform_EMN network project, which is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, therefore supports small and medium-sized companies from the region in mastering the challenges of the transformation and positioning themselves for the future. In order to secure production sites and employment and to support companies in the mobility transition, the transform_EMN project has established a transformation network with free measures for knowledge and technology transfer, employee qualification and the development of new business areas and perspectives.
