With more than 80 years of experience, our company is the globally leading producer of high quality industrial rayon. This multifilament cellulose fiber is made of bio-based resources and is biodegradable. CORDENKA® fibers are available as continuous yarns, chopped fibers and woven fabrics.

Due to the excellent balance between strength and elongation at break, the chopped CORDENKA® fibres are a perfect reinforcing material for plastics. The impact strength of rayon-reinforced thermoplastics is improved significantly in a wide temperature range.

Furthermore, the material properties are kept on a high level even after recycling and recompounding. Therefore, thermoplastic rayon composites offer great potential for lightweight constructions with a high degree of crash-resistance.
