Information

The office for time management is headed by Manfred Weitgasser. An Industrial Engineer who has been successful for more than 20 years at home and abroad. An example from practice: In the diagram below, the situation in the final assembly of a machine builder is shown. It shows cause and effect relationships of the potential determined in the course of a process study, as they are often found in a similar way. In the present case, deficits in knowledge management (light blue) were found to be the most frequent cause of internal errors, rework and remaining potential, followed by faulty deliveries from upstream departments and suppliers (yellow) and organizational problems (red). Only to a small extent is C sub-logistics causally involved in the potential. In view of the fact that, as in this case, almost 40% additional costs are incurred compared to the ideal situation, it is worth considering optimization measures, even if only part of the potential can be leveraged. According to a newspaper report (OVB in the fall of 2005), an average of 37% of available resources are wasted in Germany. In the past in many enterprises the existing time management departments (for cost reasons?) were dissolved.
