Since its foundation more than 100 years ago, Brose has been growing dynamically and mainly self-financed. The company will invest 1.5 to 2 billion euros by 2021. The funds will flow into new products, technical equipment and the expansion of international locations.

Strong partner of the automotive industry

Brose is the fourth-largest family-owned automotive supplier worldwide and among the top 40 in the industry. Around 26,000 employees at 64 locations in 24 countries generate €6.2 billion in sales. The company develops and manufactures mechatronic systems for vehicle doors and seats as well as electric motors and electronics, including for steering, brakes, transmissions and engine cooling.

Some 80 automotive brands and more than 40 suppliers are on its customer list. Every second new car worldwide is equipped with at least one Brose product. 

The advancing electrification of the powertrain is creating further growth opportunities for the mechatronics specialist. The company uses its expertise in combining mechanics, electrics, electronics and sensor technology to offer customers customized solutions. Mostly invisible to the driver, they ensure greater comfort, safety and efficiency.

Research and development spending accounts for eight percent of sales. With 3,000 engineers and technicians, over ten percent of all employees work in this area. With numerous patent applications, Brose is one of the most innovative companies in Germany.
