Profile
Development of new technologies - BMW Startup Garage: Venture Client Unit.
The BMW Startup Garage is the venture client unit of the BMW Group and helps startups to become reliable suppliers of the BMW Group. The BMW Startup Garage works with early-stage startups on real BMW projects.
The BMW Startup Garage supports startups entering the automotive industry. It integrates early-stage startups into the company to work on innovative solutions. Startups are an important source of innovation and can make a significant contribution to BMW products, services and systems.
As a venture client, the BMW Group becomes a customer of a startup at a time when the startup does not yet have a market-ready product. This gives the BMW Group early access to technologies and innovations and allows it to make customer-specific adjustments to the technologies before they are ready for the market.
Selected start-ups go through a program lasting several months. The prerequisite for inclusion in the program is that the startups make a significant contribution to the BMW Group's products, services and processes.
