CE and product safety
For all products and innovations that are to be launched on the market in the European Union, compliance with legal requirements, such as the obligation to CE mark some product groups and the regulations on general product safety, is essential on the way to a successful market launch. Innovators and manufacturers must develop and manufacture safe products - and must be able to prove this with the help of technical documentation or compliance with standards. Likewise, importers and distributors may only make safe products available on the market and are subject to a corresponding duty of care.
