Helmholtz-Institut Erlangen-Nürnberg
Profile
The Helmholtz Institute Erlangen-Nuremberg for Renewable Energies (HI ERN) researches and develops material- and process-based solutions for climate-neutral, sustainable and cost-effective utilization of renewable energies. The institute is engaged in the structural and functional characterization, modeling and fabrication of materials relevant to hydrogen and solar technologies. The common goal is to understand the structure-power-process relationship on the mesoscale. The HI ERN is part of the Forschungszentrum Jülich and is operated in close cooperation with the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) and the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB).
