Healthcare Regensburg managed by BioPark Regensburg GmbH

The BioPark Regensburg GmbH is a company of the City of Regensburg and part of the Economic Development Agency. Our core task is the promotion of biotechnology, medical technology, diagnostics & analytics and the healthcare industry. To this end, we operate three laboratory buildings with a total area of 18,000 m² on the grounds of the University of Regensburg, where 35 tenants with 676 employees currently work. We also coordinate the active cluster management of BioRegio Regensburg with currently 66 companies and 5,340 employees in Eastern Bavaria from here. BioPark Regensburg will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2024. During this time, over 800 million euros have been invested in the development of life sciences at the location. The BioPark supports start-up activities with special offers such as BioPark Jump - Accelerator Program for start-ups in the healthcare sector, the Startup Weekend, Career Day or personal interviews. In the last 25 years, over 80 life science start-up teams from Eastern Bavaria have taken part in the Northern Bavaria Business Plan Competition.
