The institute sees itself as a competence provider for applied sustainability in the plastics technology sector. The circular economy for conventional plastics as well as for bioplastics is moving more than ever into the focus of industrial as well as institutional research. Extensive equipment for the processing of biogenic residues, production of plastic compounds, processing of these into products on a laboratory scale, as well as detailed scientific analysis, enables us to research effectively with cooperation partners.

With this joint research, we at the Institute would like to build the bridge between the international scientific status from basic research and actual product development in companies. As a partner with scientific and technical know-how, we can thus transfer innovations to our partners.
