The Fraunhofer IGCV stands for sustainable, application-oriented production solutions. We transfer research results into individual solutions in order to realize their cross-industry implementation and establishment on the market. We are drivers of future-proof technologies and ensure sustainable competitiveness of the manufacturing industry in Bavaria, Germany and Europe.

Our employees are the key to our success: their expertise, combined with extensive networking in the German and international research landscape, ensures excellent results. In addition to numerous collaborations with renowned research institutions - in particular with the Technical University of Munich (TUM) - we work intensively with companies and organizations of all sizes. Our partners come from the mechanical and plant engineering, aerospace and automotive industries, among others.

Our unique selling point is interdisciplinary solutions in the field of foundry, composite and processing technology. We transfer innovative technologies into production engineering applications (from component design to holistic product and process chain design) with the goals of sustainability and resource efficiency as well as quality enhancement and cost savings.
