Procedure
Overview of an exemplary procedure in the event of a positive assessment of the project:
The application process is designed in two stages and therefore includes an outline phase and an application phase. This program is implemented via corresponding calls for funding, in which thematic priorities are set where appropriate. Project outlines can be submitted within the respective funding calls by the specified deadlines. The outlines will be assessed and evaluated as part of a competitive process.

Consulting
- We will advise you individually on the requirements and your plans.
- If the program is not suitable for your project, we will try to show you suitable alternatives.
- You are welcome to make an appointment directly with the team from Förderlotsen Bayern.
Active call for funding and evaluation of the sketches
- During an active funding call, you can submit your project outline in accordance with the requirements of the funding call. We recommend that you seek advice from us in advance.
If you would like to be informed about the next active funding call, please enter your e-mail address in the field below. - After the call for funding is closed, the Bavarian Project Management Agency and the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy (StMWi) will evaluate the outlines for around 8 weeks. The outlines will be assessed and evaluated as part of a competitive process.
- Once the evaluation phase of the project outlines has been completed, you will receive feedback as to whether your project has been approved for application.

Submission of the application and application evaluation
- After admission to the application process, all partners have 8 weeks to submit their application. The formal funding application, including the required attachments, must be submitted to the Project Management Agency Bavaria within this period.
- To submit the application, you will receive an individual access code to the application system from the Project Management Agency. - Each partner submits its own complete application.
- You will find access to most of the required documents in the download area. Further documents will be made available to you by the Project Management Agency Bavaria as part of the process.
- Once a complete, verifiable application has been submitted to the Bavarian Project Management Agency, the project can begin at the requested start date at your own risk and expense. A confirmation of receipt will be sent by the Bavarian project management organization.
- Once the applications have been submitted, there is an evaluation phase by the Bavarian Project Management Agency and the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy (StMWi).
Implementation phase
- The StMWi will send the grant notification if the assessment is positive.
- The actual funding phase begins with the receipt of the grant notification. During this period, calls for funds and interim reports must be submitted on the dates specified in the deadline sheet for the grant notification (usually by 15.04. and 15.10. each year). Review of the project objectives achieved
At the end of the funding phase, the correct use of the funding and the achievement of the project objectives are checked with the proof of use. You can access the documents required for this in the download area.
Utilization phase
- The utilization phase lasts 3 years. During the exploitation phase, the funding recipient must submit an exploitation report once a year, which provides information on the further development and economic implementation of the project result, the market launch of the development and the development of the company in terms of turnover and employees. You will find access to the necessary documents in the download area.
- Once the exploitation phase has been completed, the project is finished.
