Medical Valley Award
The Bavarian funding program Medical Valley Award supports the transfer of excellent research results in medical technology into innovative products and technologies in order to shorten the time between a good idea and its commercial exploitation. The research team should be supported in their research and development activities and have the intention of founding a company from the research institution.
Support is provided for research-related, yet application-oriented projects that aim to develop and test innovative diagnostics, therapies and technologies in the field of medical technology/healthcare.
The program is aimed at research teams from Bavarian universities, university hospitals and non-university research institutions.
The program is implemented via calls for funding. Project outlines can be submitted within the respective specified deadlines. Up to 5 winning teams will be selected in a competitive process, each of which will receive €500,000 in funding.
