Procedure

Our team will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the FLÜGGE funding program.

The funding measure is implemented via corresponding calls. Within the respective funding calls, it is possible to submit project outlines by the specified deadlines. The project outline must be submitted by the technology transfer offices or the technology transfer officers of the respective university. You can find the required documents in our download area.

Submit the outline:
a) with a legally binding signature
b) as a PDF document (preferably with bookmarks and text recognition)
c) with the subject "Funding call FLÜGGE + year AND project title"

Please note: If an application for the EXIST start-up grant has been submitted at the same time as the FLÜGGE outline and a decision on the EXIST application could not be made within the FLÜGGE application deadline, FLÜGGE funding is excluded.

Once all formal requirements have been met, the outlines are evaluated by a committee. The teams with the best outlines will be invited to present their idea/project in person to the panel. The teams from the final selection can then submit an application for funding.

The application consultation is mandatory.

Applications are submitted in the electronic application system of the Free State of Bavaria. You will receive the access code for the application form from us. All documents required for the application can be found in our download area.

CHANGES: If there are any changes to the submitted outline, these must be reported. In the event of changes to points relevant to the assessment (e.g. change of team members), a new assessment must be carried out by the committee.

A formal review is carried out by the staff at the Bavarian project management organization. Please note that incomplete or incorrect documents must be corrected and resubmitted. Unfortunately, this will delay the processing of your application.

The Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy sends the letter of assignment to the Chancellor of the university.

Project start:

The university must inform the Bavarian project management organization of the start of the project. The notification must be made

a) informally,
b) no later than 2 weeks after the start,

Reporting obligations:

For allocations from 01.01.2024:

All documents (reports, list of supporting documents, etc.) must be summarized in one pdf document and sent by e-mail to the following e-mail address by the deadlines specified in the deadline sheet: The applicant university is responsible for the timely submission of reports and supporting documents.

The implementation period is followed by a three-year utilization period. Brief annual reports are due here, which provide information on whether and how the project results are used.

In addition, the course of the project as well as the project results and, if applicable, the development of the company must be presented to the panel of experts in a review meeting (online) upon request.
