Together with Stadtwerke Amberg and VKU Landesgruppe Bayern, we invite you to find out more about the benefits of participating in the network and to lay the foundations for a network of municipal utilities.

Municipal energy supply in transition - networks as the key to the heating and energy transition

The municipal energy supply is facing far-reaching changes: increasing requirements for energy efficiency, climate protection and security of supply are coming up against growing regulatory, technical and economic challenges. At the same time, new technologies, collaborations and networks are opening up great opportunities to actively shape the energy and heating transition locally.

The Bavarian Energy Efficiency Network Initiative brings together stakeholders from municipal utilities, companies and science to shed light on key issues relating to the transformation of municipal energy systems. The focus is on practical impulses, experience reports from successful networks and the exchange of concrete solutions.

Energy efficiency networks as accelerators

Energy efficiency networks offer a proven framework for sharing knowledge, learning from each other and jointly implementing concrete measures. The "RAIV" energy efficiency network is a prime example of successful networking among municipal utilities. The event will show how networks can accelerate transformation and which success factors are decisive. Find out how you too can benefit from participating in the network!

Strong local partners

The Bavarian Energy Efficiency Network Initiative (BEEN i) was founded by associations, chambers and the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy. Together with regional partners, the initiative pursues the goal of sustainably strengthening energy efficiency in the Bavarian economy through the nationwide initiation of energy efficiency networks.

We are delighted to be organizing this information event together with the Bavarian regional group of the Verband Kommunaler Unternehmen e.V. (Association of Municipal Enterprises ). VKU Bayern is the central interest group for the municipal supply and waste management industry and unites municipal utilities and other municipal companies in Bavaria. The cooperation with VKU Bayern makes it possible to incorporate practical impulses, experiences from municipal implementation and strategic perspectives into the network work in a targeted manner.

Find out more now and become part of the network

This free information event focuses on setting up an energy efficiency network for municipal utilities. The event offers a practical overview of how energy efficiency networks work successfully, what role the structured exchange of experience plays and what concrete benefits municipal utilities can gain from participating. Participants will gain insights into best practices, learn about successful examples from existing networks and find out how transformation potential can be systematically identified and implemented.

Following the presentations, we cordially invite you to a get-together. Take the opportunity to exchange ideas with other participants over a snack. Representatives from Bayern Innovativ and the IfE will also be available for individual questions and discussions in direct exchange.

Target group
The information event is aimed at municipal utilities of all sizes who would like to find out more about the initiative and are interested in participating in the establishment of a new energy efficiency network.
