Next Level Robotics - Humanoid robotics as the key technology of tomorrow
14. October 2025
09:30 - 17:15
The world of robotics is at a turning point: humanoid robots - once pure science fiction - are now a reality and are evolving rapidly. They imitate human movements, react to their environment and increasingly interact empathically with humans. This progress is pushing the boundaries of automation. What was once a vision is now taking concrete shape - in research laboratories and in the first factories around the world. But where do we really stand? Which technological breakthroughs are already a reality, what challenges remain? And where will the journey take us in the future? And how do the…
Prof. Dr. Ing. Alin Albu-Schäffer,
The robotics landscape is at a turning point, driven by hardware advances and AI breakthroughs. Massive investments are being made in robotics worldwide - especially in universal physical intelligence - to create a humanoid robot that can perform almost all tasks that a human does today. Germany, and Bavaria in particular, has the best prerequisites to become a major European and global player in the newly sparked competition in humanoid robotics and to stand up to the massive competition from the USA and China. Where do we stand today and what role will we play in the competition now and in the future? Prof. Albu-Schäffer will provide answers to these and other questions.
Humanoid robots are regarded as the next stage in the development of collaborative robotics.
However, their versatility brings new safety requirements - especially at actuator level.
In this presentation, Norbert Sporer sheds light on different drive concepts, discusses their advantages and disadvantages and poses the question: Do humanoids need real "safety awareness" in their joints?
An impulse for developers, safety managers and robotics visionaries alike.

Humanoid robots that we encounter at work or in everyday life - a distant dream or a realistic vision of the near future? Why could the time be ripe for this now? The answers to these questions are disruptive. Dr. Shota Okujava, Managing Director of the isento Group, outlines them and invites you to form your own opinion about our possible future with humanoid robots.
